The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth installed the first female chair of the Board in its 119 year history at the YMCA's Annual Meeting on Monday, April 6. Cindy Milrany, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Administrative Officer of Freese and Nichols, will lead the YMCA's Board of Directors for the 2009-2011 term.
YMCA volunteers, community leaders, partner organizations and generous friends who help create opportunities for current and future generations were honored at the Annual Meeting.
The YMCA Chi Rho Award, the highest volunteer award given by the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth for volunteers who reflect the YMCA's mission, was given to Bishop Kenneth Spears of the McDonald Community & Southeast Multi-Agency YMCAs, and Mary Bell of Camp Carter YMCA.
The YMCA Community Partnership Award, given to the City of Fort Worth, recognizes an organization or corporation who, through collaborative efforts with the YMCA, has significantly impacted the YMCA and the community.
The Henry Meadows Volunteer of the Year award honors volulnteers who have made a difference to their YMCA branch in a variety of ways.
