Personal Trainingpt

Looking for something to help jump start your health and fitness goals? Take advantage of sessions with our certified personal trainers and meet your fitness goals by their motivation, education, and keeping you on track.


LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a program for cancer survivors and those currently undergoing treatment, focuses on you- the whole person- not the disease. The free 12-week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease you back into fitness and help you maintain a healthy weight. You’ll also learn about wellness, stress reduction and how to continue healthy habits after the program has ended. We encourage a warm spirit of community and provide a place for you to build friendships with others affected by cancer and an opportunity to share stories and inspiration.

Life Changing Challenge

Health and Wellness Trifold


CPR/First Aid Classes

CPR participants will learn and practice the skills necessary to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, as well as be
able to use the Automated External Defibrillator. First Aid participants will learn and practice the skills necessary to perform basic First Aid safely ad effectively. All participants will take a practical and written exam and, upon successful completion of the class, will receive a certification card from the American Safety & Health Institute. Space is limited, so please register early.

Kids Triathlon Training Team

Team Cambridge Kids is meant to introduce the sport of triathlon to the youth in our community and to enhance the skills of those that already compete! For more information, click the link below.

Team Cambridge Youth/Junior Tri Team

Kid Fit

Kid Fit is for our youth members ages 5-12. Participants will be engaged in organized game play with a warm up and cool down during each session. Activities are chosen by our youth members and can include games such as: freeze tag, crab soccer, dodge ball, and kickball. This class is free to our members. Youth members should come to class dressed appropriately. No open-toed shoes, crocs, heely’s, skirts, or flip flops will be allowed.

Homeschool P.E.

The YMCA’s Homeschool P.E. program is designed to help your kids improve fitness and motor skills. School-age children will get a structured class through individual and group activities. Click the link for the 2017 Homeschool P.E. program schedule and rates.

Youth and Teen

Wellness Orientations

Youth members ages 8-12 will participate in one one-hour educational sessions that will include training in nutrition, flexibility, and cardiovascular exercise. Students will know how to stretch properly and workout on select cardiovascular exercise, Teen members ages 12-15 must complete a training course in order to use the equipment in the fitness center. Students should come to class prepared to do a short workout. This class is free to our members.

Teen Orientations

Ages: 12-15 years old

Teen Orientations can be made by appointment only with a Wellness coach. Appointments can be made at the Member Services desk.

Youth Orientations

Group Exercise Classes

Youth members ages 8 and older may participate in youth classes, with the exception of Body Pump, after completing the Youth and Teen Orientation. Participation is at instructor’s discretion. Youth members may participate as long as they are dressed appropriately, can participate fully, and are not a distraction to other class participants.
