Annual Campaign

Our members and friends call us their Y. We call them our greatest resource—the thousands of people who work alongside us and support our work to help our neighbors learn, grow and thrive. Each year we raise funds as a branch and as an association to ensure we are able to carry out our mission: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Through Annual Campaign we are able to offer Scholarships, free swim lessons, outreach programming and so much more to families in need. Funds raised at each branch stay in their local community to help grow and support families close to home.

To see how you can be part of this life changing campaign in Hood County please contact Lisa Gossard at LGossard@ymcafw.org

Reach & Rise®

Reach & Rise® is a national YMCA program designed to build a better future for youth by helping them reach their full potential through the support of caring adults. Reach & Rise® is a free, one-to-one youth mentoring program that was established to provide young people in our community with positive adult relationships. Each adult is matched with a young person who they meet with once a week. Visit our webpage here for more information on this great program.

For more information about the Reach & Rise® program, please contact Debra Rockmore at 817-534-1591 or email drockmore@ymcafw.org.

Healthy Kids Day®

Summer is the time for kids to get up, get out and grow. But for some kids, exposure to activities that stimulate the body and mind ends with the school year. In fact, research shows that kids are prone to gain weight and fall behind in studies. On April 29th, the Y will celebrate Healthy Kids Day®, our national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids. Join us at one of our branches as we celebrate Healthy Kids Day with FREE community events. Find more information on your local YMCA here! For more information on how to get involved with Healthy Kids Day at the Hood County YMCA please contact our Youth Development Coordinator, Whitney Landis, at WLandis@ymcafw.org

Sports Coaches & Referees

As an organization that values youth development we are able to make the impact that we do with people like you! Though not all locations offer sports programs, there are many locations that do and could use your help and expertise! For more information on how to get involved with sports coaching and refereeing please contact our Healthy Living and Adult Sports Coordinator, Roy Phillips at RPhillips@ymcafw.org
