At the YMCA, we offer many opportunities for you to reach your wellness goals, feel your best and enrich your life. Group exercise classes, personal training, Life Changing Challenges and Wellness Consultations are just a few of the ways the YMCA can help you improve your health and wellbeing.

If any of these things are a challenge for your family bring your children to the Northpark YMCA!  We now offer a full Group Exercise Schedule for both you and your children!

Youth & Teen Fitness Center Orientation

Youth and Teens are given a specially designed workout program to fit their age appropriate abilities. The session is 30 minutes to 1 hour where a certified Personal Trainer will go over gym etiquette, age appropriate workout program and answer questions from parents and teen.  Your childs safety and long-term health and well-being are our number one priority!

We offer appointments Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Monday – Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


Once the appointment is made you need to come in 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment ready to exercise (comfortable athletic clothes and closed toe shoes). Our Wellness Coach will meet you in the Common Area directly behind the Front Desk.

Wellness Center Age Rules

The health and safety of your children is very important to the staff of your Northpark YMCA.


  • Children 8 & 9 may use the cardio equipment with a parent after they have completed the Youth Orientation
  • Children ages 10 – 12 may use all the equipment with a parent after they have completed the Teen Orientation 
  • Children ages 13 – 15 may use all of the equipment after they have completed the Teen Orientation 
  • Children under the age of 8 may not use the Wellness Center. We do offer KidFit Classes, Family Group Exercise Classes, and a Youth Zone area for children under the ages 6 and older

Youth Group Fitness Program

Offering group exercise to our kids is a way to keep them active while you take your favorite class or exercise in the facility.  Ages 6- 12 years are welcome to join our classes. Please be sure to sign them into class in our Youth Zone area.

Life Changing Challengeyoga-group-women

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a program for cancer survivors and those currently undergoing treatment, focuses on you- the whole person- not the disease. The free 12-week program meets twice a week for 90 minutes, using traditional exercise methods to ease you back into fitness and help you maintain a healthy weight. You’ll also learn about wellness, stress reduction and how to continue healthy habits after the program has ended. We encourage a warm spirit of community and provide a place for you to build friendships with others affected by cancer and an opportunity to share stories and inspiration.

2018 Y Warrior

Y Warrior is our new and improved intense strength and cardio training taught by our nationally certified personal trainers. Y Warrior is for all fitness levels and anyone looking for a challenge!

Member benefit :   $30 per month

Y Weight Loss Program

Y Weight Loss Program for those who are interested in jump starting a life change! To participate in the program you must be 18 years or older. The program is 12 weeks long and meets once per week. Participants will gain tools and knowledge as well as have group support to help develop a nutrition and exercise plan that works for each individual! 

Where: Northpark YMCA, Multi-Purpose Room

Cost: $50 for members, $100 for non-members
