Did you know that Dr. James Naismith, a physical education professor and instructor at the International Young Men’s Christian Association Training School invented the game of Basketball 125 years ago at the YMCA? We are proud of our history and would like you to help us celebrate this beautiful game this winter.

POST UP FOR UNITY will be an all-day basketball event where we bring the community together through the great game of basketball. The event will take place Saturday, November 12th starting at 8am at Christ Lutheran Church located 4409 Sycamore School Rd. Fort Worth, TX. This is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament where the local youth will be able to put their skills to the test against First Responders and each other. Bring your A game! We will have In N Out Burger for players and some hot dogs for spectators. We will also have some Air 1 Radio 101.7. It should be a fun time!

Volunteer To Coach

YMCA youth sports would not be possible without the help of our volunteer coaches. The Ryan Family YMCA is always looking for caring, energetic adults to coach in our youth sports program. We provide all the help and resources you will need to have a fun and successful season. If you’re interested in coaching a team and making a difference in your community, please complete the required YMCA Volunteer Application. All coaches are required to complete the volunteer application once every calendar year.
