Connecting Communities Capital Campaign
At the YMCA strengthening community is our cause. For over 127 years, the YMCA has been at the heart of the Fort Worth community. Several years ago, we began a multi-year strategic planning process that provided us with the direction needed to address some of the most critical issues facing Fort Worth and Tarrant County, including: overall community health, youth development and water safety. Through that process we identified three capital expansion and renovation projects needed to improve programs and expand impact: a new Y in southeast Fort Worth, renovations at YMCA Camp Carter and enhancements at the YMCA Sports Complex. This three pronged initiative became the Connecting Community Capital Campaign.
The Fort Worth YMCA has a strong legacy of building healthy and productive private-public partnerships and this campaign is in keeping with that philosophy. Thanks to the generosity of private donors and corporations, the state’s tax credit program, and foundation grants, we have already raised $16.65 million to support the three capital projects.
We are just $338,000 away from meeting our $16.98 million dollar goal by 2018!
With more than 10,000 members and guests collectively expected to visit the three sites each year, our objective is to raise the remaining funds needed to ensure a brighter future for our great community. Thank you for your support of the Y. Your gift guarantees a greater local impact around community health, serving our youth, families and seniors. Every gift is meaningful. With you, we are not just changing, but are saving lives.Donate Today Buy a Brick Construction Updates
