Active older adults can gain strength and energy while enjoying a variety of social events at the YMCA. Activities range from group exercise classes that concentrate on mobility and flexibility, dance classes and social events. Becoming an active older adult at the YMCA means staying connected to your community! We bring Seniors and Active Older Adults together for camaraderie, fellowship and fun!

The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is a unique physical activity, lifestyle and social oriented program designed to encourage members to increase their levels of physical activity and motivate them to continue to be active. The program reflects senior sensitivity, promotes social interaction and encourages participation in healthy lifestyle activities.
SilverSneakers® I Muscular Strength
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers® II Cardio Circuit
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Active older adults that are looking for a Zumba class that recreates the original move you love at a lower-intensity. How it works… The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
