Lifeguard Academy is designed to take people who cannot currently swim or cannot swim well, and not only teach them how to swim, but condition them enough to where they could potentially pass a lifeguard course. This program is designed for those interested in employment as a lifeguard with the Fort Worth YMCA.
Throughout this program, students will learn the necessary skills needed to become a YMCA lifeguard. Not only will they leave the program having gained the necessary skills to become better prepared for the job market, they will also learn crucial lifesaving skills that can be applied outside of an aquatics environment.
