Summer Day Camp
Make this summer an adventure for your child! Day camp provides campers with theme-based activities that teach YMCA core values. Children spend time indoors and outdoors as camp staff lead them in a wide variety of activities each day. Activities include camp crafts, group games, skits, songs, sports and swimming at the Hood County YMCA indoor/outdoor pool. Campers also enjoy weekly off-site field trips!

Step 1: Print and read the parent handbook for your camp: 2017 Parent Handbook
Step 2: Fill out the registration form by clicking on the “register now” button below. You will need the dates of your child’s required immunizations and doctor/dentist information.
Specialty Camps (Ages 6-12)
Specialty Camps at the Hood County YMCA are the perfect opportunity to explore new interests or pursue a passion. Campers will learn new skills and form friendships that will last a lifetime! Registration will open soon – check back for information on the different camps we will be offering as well as a registration form! When registration opens, you can sign your children up at the Member Service Desk. Hurry in! They wont want to miss this!
Youth & Teen
Summer Volleyball Camp!
Do you have a child interested in volleyball? If so, it is never too eary to start building their skills. The Y is offering a program to help teach and encourage them on their journey of learning the sport! Coach Richard Lauer, curernt Head Coach for Cornerstone Christian Academy, will hold a 5-day summer camp for girls ages 8-16.
The camp will focus on the fundamentals of volleyball in addition to strategies to improve one’s overall game. Each camper will come away with instruction on developing the skills of the game. Each session will culminate into 6-on-6 volleyball play. Regardless of skill level, everyone will have a great time at volleyball camp!
CIT Program/LIT Program
The CIT Program develops leadership and character skills for youth entering the 6th grade and helps young people learn how to effectively lead children. The CITs will assist in day camp programs and field trips. Moreover, they will have special activities/field trips throughout the summer.
