Start your Thanksgiving Day off right and experience the fun, family-friendly atmosphere of the YMCA Turkey Trot. With a 5K, 8K or 1K Gobbler Trot, you can choose to run, jog or walk for fun. Strollers and dogs are welcome!

More than a Race

When you register for the YMCA Turkey Trot, you’re signing up for more than just a race. You’re helping your neighbors in need during their most difficult times. 100% of all proceeds from the Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot go towards scholarships for families in our community. When you trot with us, you’re helping the Y continue to provide opportunities and access for all.

5K Race

The first 6,000 registered 5K runners will receive a commemorative medal upon completion.

8K Race

The first 2,500 registered 8K runners will receive a commemorative medal upon completion.

1K Gobbler Trot

The first 600 children participating in the Gobbler Trot will receive a finisher award.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do I pick up my Trot shirt and race bib?

T-Shirts and bibs will be available during the scheduled Packet Pick-Up days at Luke’s Locker, The Bedford Center YMCA and the Northpark YMCA. To ensure you will receive a t-shirt and bib, we strongly encourage early registration and attending packet pick-up prior to race day. Once you’ve registered, keep an eye on your email for days/times of packet pick-up. If you are picking up someone else’s packet, please have the participant’s name or QR code ready. 

Please keep in mind, all participants must wear their assigned race bib on race day to participant in the 5K, 8K or Gobbler Trot.

This is a major event and we do encourage participants to arrive early for the Fort Worth YMCA Turkey Trot. There is parking available in several parking garages and parking lots. On street parking will not be permitted in the Clearfork Shopping Center.
We encourage participants to arrive early and carpool, if possible.

In general, no matter what the weather, the Turkey Trot will go on! Only severe lightning will delay the event. Our paramount concern is the safety of our participants.
