Youth Soccer

Youth Volleyball

Got game? Hit the courts with the ones who invented the game – the Y! Children will have the opportunity to learn the basic volleyball fundamentals such as serving, setting, hitting and digging. But more importantly, they’ll learn the values of good sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting and skill development in a fun, esteem-promoting atmosphere.

Youth Football

Are you ready for some football? The Y’s football league removes the tackling but adds in extra fun and excitement for your child. Participants learn the basic skills of the game in a safe environment from our team of caring volunteer coaches who also emphasize the importance of teamwork, fair play and sportsmanship.

Chris Butler

Vice President of Operations

Chris is the Vice President of Operations, overseeing Benbrook Community Center YMCA, Westside YMCA, Ryan Family YMCA, the YMCA Sports Complex and YMCA Camp Carter. Chris has worked for the YMCA for 30 years (over 20 years as full-time), starting as a Camp Counselor. Currently, he is in charge of operational efficiency and community effectiveness for the YMCA’s in his region. Chris serves on the Benbrook Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is involved with several other community organizations and enjoys serving in various capacities to make his community a better place for all. In his free time, Chris enjoys running, biking and spending time with his family.

Associate Executive Director

Erika is the Associate Executive Director, and works with the Board and staff with the Annual Campaign. Although she came to the Y in March 2015, she has worked in the non-profit sector as a staff member, volunteer and board member for over 20 years. Currently, she oversees operational efficiency, including Marketing and Communications for the Benbrook Community Center YMCA and Westside YMCA. Erika is involved in with many community organizations, and thrives on making community connections to create a better community. In her free time, Erika enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.

Jacquelyn Kotar

Operations Director

Jacquelyn is the Operations Director the Benbrook Community Center YMCA and Westside YMCA. She has worked at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA since 2006. Jacquelyn started her career with the YMCA as a part-time Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. She also supervises aquatics operations at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA, Westside YMCA and Ryan Family YMCA facilities. In addition to her branch responsibilities, Jacquelyn supports the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth as the Aquatics Specialist, supporting on and off-site aquatics operations and programs in and around Fort Worth. Jacquelyn is married with two beautiful daughters and enjoys spending time with her family in her free time.

Maintenance Coordinator

Jeff is the Maintenance Coordinator for Benbrook Community Center YMCA and Westside YMCA. Keeping everything at our Y in tip-top shape is no small feat, but Jeff does it with a smile on his face. He takes the care, repair and maintenance of our facility personally, and it shows in what he does. In Jeff’s out-of-the-Y hours, he enjoys earning his green thumb with his beautiful garden, as well as teaching Sunday School classes.

Wellness Director

Allie Skaggs is the Wellness Director at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA and Westside YMCA, she has been with the Y for almost 2 years. Previously she was a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coordinator at the Ryan Family Y until she moved to the Benbrook YMCA in 2019. She has a passion for health and fitness and in her free time enjoys training and spending time with her family.

Amanda Tucker

Senior Program Director Membership Engagement & Healthy Living Director

Amanda Tucker is the Membership Engagement & Healthy Living Director for the Benbrook Community Center YMCA and Westside YMCA. Amanda began her career with the YMCA as a Fitness Instructor in 2003 and then served as the Wellness Director at the Northwest Y since 2013. She directly supervises our wellness, group exercise, membership and Y Playground staff. Along with staff supervision, Amanda is responsible for coordinating group exercise classes, membership engagement events and community involvement. In her free time she enjoys sewing, crafting, and watching her boys play baseball!
