Building strong kids is one of the most important roles the YMCA plays. Youth in YMCA programs are taught the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. Programs are designed to help youth establish healthy, productive behavior that will enable them to succeed and serve. YMCAs make kids strong in spirit, mind and body through established developmental assets.
Get ready for the BEST SUMMER EVER! Campers will explore new ways to have fun with indoor and outdoor activities and trained camp staff will lead campers in character development activities, team building games, swim time and weekly field trips. At Camp Sundance, it’s our desire for every child to make new friends and create memories that last a lifetime! Our entertaining theme-based activities are age-appropriate and our camps are licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

The YMCA Adventure Guides program is designed to assist the parent and the school-age child on a journey of discovery. While activities with the whole family are important, there is tremendous value in supporting and strengthening a one-on-one parent-child bond. The Adventure Guide Program can strengthen that bond through typical activities such as games, crafts, songs, stories, skits and outdoor pursuits, such as camping, hiking and swimming.
The Adventure Guides program is not offered at the Amon G. Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA, please contact other local YMCA of Metropolitan Forth Worth locations for availability: Northpark YMCA.
