Walmart Sparks Good in Local YMCAs

Each year, Walmart U.S. stores, Sam’s Clubs and Distribution centers award local cash grants ranging from $250 – $5000 to area nonprofits.

These generous grants are directed to local causes important to members and associates. Each gift provides financial support for the unique needs of local communities in the service areas of Walmart and Sam’s Club stores.

Funding areas include:

  • Community and economic development
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Education
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Health and human services
  • Hunger relief and healthy eating
  • Public safety
  • Quality of life

This year, multiple YMCAs have been honored with a gift. Each program is as unique as the communities they serve.

Check out this year’s list!

  • $1,500 for summer day camp at the Benbrook Community Center YMCA
  • $1,500 to support our pickleball community at the Bedford Center YMCA
  • $500 for our Community Tech Center at the Ryan Family YMCA

The great news, is these local funds are available year-round. Thanks to Walmart for continuing to support our local YMCAs and programs.
