Volunteer to Coach

Help kids reach their full potential by volunteering to coach youth sports at the Y! Athletic experience isn’t required–just the ability to model the values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility, making sure everyone gets a chance to play and have fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

Team assignments and coach information will be communicated to registered participants before the start of the season. Please be patient as we rely on volunteer coaches. Keep an eye on your provided contact information and Playerspace.

What equipment or gear does my child need?

Each player is required to wear shin guards for practices and games. We recommend soccer cleats for all players in 2nd grade and older but they are not required. We ask that each player brings their own soccer ball to practices and games.

Practice and game schedules and locations will be shared by the coach or through YMCA Playerspace or email. These will be provided no later than the week before the first practice.

Our programs welcome parent volunteers as coaches, team parents, or helpers. For coaching positions, visit our website to begin the background check process. We provide ample support for volunteers.
