The Y Impact

At the Y, our goal is to serve the community while also creating community. The Y has been listening and responding to our communities’ most critical social needs for more than 160 years.

Improving the nation’s health and well-being. In communities across the nation, the Y is a leading voice on health and well-being. With a mission centered on balance, the Y brings families closer together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests.

Our Impact

By the Numbers

  • People were served through membership and programs in our YMCAs
  • Learned cooperation, new skills and teamwork through youth sports
  • Engaged in tutoring, healthy movement and STEM activities in38 after school sites across six ISDs in our community
  • Prepared for kindergarten in three licensed early learning centers
  • Youth made friends, developed decision making skills and cooperation through overnight camp
  • Improved strokes, competed in swim team and learned water safety skills through Y aquatics programs
  • Reached through the mobile Safety Around Water program
